TODD W. BOYKIN

Mr. Boykin was born and raised outside Childress, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas Tech University with honors in 1987 and graduated from the Baylor University School of Law in 1990. Mr. Boykin joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 1995. He received numerous scholarly awards during his academic career. Mr. Boykin is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law.

Mr. Boykin's practice focuses specifically on commercial real estate transactions and the organizational needs of real estate clients. Mr. Boykin regularly handles numerous multimillion dollar real estate transactions, both in Texas and throughout the United States.

Mr. Boykin handles construction loans, commercial financing, mortgage lending, acquisitions and sales of commercial real estate, leasing, and landlord tenant matters. He has handled numerous high profile real estate matters including shopping centers, high rise office buildings, apartment complexes, residential and commercial subdivisions, industrial sites, and various types of agricultural land. Mr. Boykin's experience includes acquisitions and dispositions, creditors rights, development, management, financing, leasing, real estate litigation, operational issues related to the management of properties, as well as the negotiation of loan workouts, debt restructuring, and foreclosure.

Mr. Boykin also has extensive experience in the formation of business entities relating to the purchase, development, use and management and structuring of real estate, or business relating to real estate. He also counsels clients in the formation and structuring of such entities to limit the client's liability and take advantage of other available benefits.

Representative types of clients Mr. Boykin has served include:

A national trust company based in Arizona in commercial construction lending, defaults, foreclosures and workouts, and management of real property in Texas and throughout the United States;

A waste disposal firm concerning the real estate and construction aspects of a Texas facility for the disposal of hazardous waste from across the United States;

Several prominent owners in the acquisition, disposition, and construction of commercial enterprises and developments, including the formation and management of the businesses;

A Real Estate Investment Trust making commercial real estate loans in virtually all states, including representation in default, foreclosure, and workout issues;

Nationally and state chartered banking entities and prominent individuals, in large numbers of commercial real estate matters;

A California development company in numerous large purchases of commercial property in Texas.

Numerous other businesses and individuals regarding organizational issues and commercial real estate matters.

Mr. Boykin is also active in community associations and organizations, serving on several local charitable associations, and in leadership positions in his church. His interests include his family, ranching, hunting, and fly fishing.
